Test bench for testing the media resistance of materials in an ethanol atmosphere
Determination of material parameters and media resistance of materials under special ambient conditions and changing operating pressures and temperatures in an ethanol atmosphere.
Test media
Ethanol – water mixture (50% – 100% ethanol) or other alcohols
Temperature range
+100°C to +210°C
Pressure range
2bar to 40bar
Special features
Material tests under ethanol vapour
Dynamic rod seal with low friction
Test bench for testing the media resistance of materials in different fuel atmospheres
In the test bench, the media resistance of materials is tested under special ambient conditions and changing operating pressures and temperatures in a fuel atmosphere.
Test media
Gaseous: methane and hydrogen
Liquid: diesel and petrol / gasoline
Temperature range
Gas fuel up to +450°C and 40bar
Special features
Dosing of diesel in methane atmosphere possible
Dynamic rod seal with low friction
Test bench for testing the media resistance of micro samples in a hydrogen atmosphere
Test media
Hydrogen, nitrogen
Temperature range
+25°C to +80°C measuring chamber
Pressure range
0,1bar to 10bar measuring chamber
Special features
Fatigue testing of microsamples
(≤ 2mm) under a hydrogen atmosphere
Lowest seal friction losses on the tie rods of the micro test device
Tempered, pressure-resistant inspection windows
Evaluation of the crack and fracture behaviour is carried out by the customer using microscopy
Test bench for measuring material parameters such as permeation, diffusion and sorption under a hydrogen atmosphere
Test bench for measuring material parameters (permeation, diffusion and sorption) across a large temperature and pressure range. The test gas is applied to the test specimen in a special tensioner assembly and the targeted metrics can be determined via changes in pressure.
Test medium
Hydrogen
Temperature range
-70°C to +180°C in temperature chamber
Pressure range
Max. 875bar H2
Special features
Measuring device for spatially-resolved material characterisation of PEM – MEA
Device for measurements and optimisations on PEM membranes and their components such as GDL. The non-destructive measurement of small areas of a membrane can be carried out freely on any size membrane / GDL at pressures up to 4 bar and temperatures up to 90°C without the need for any additional provisions. Areas of application for this device are development, production and damage analysis.
Application
Equipment used for the material characterisation of small parts of a membrane electrode unit and its components under real process conditions
Special features
Defined boundaries (e.g. 25mm x 16mm)
Current density up to 10A/cm²
Water-cooled flow fields with a very low temperature gradient to the unit under test
Integration of the measuring device into the test bench as with “normal” fuel cells
